Wow! I've been busy - busy - busy since I returned from HOOT and was on a roll getting stuff done but a summer cold put the brakes on that these last couple of days and I ended up spending all day yesterday in bed!
In our Art Journaling class we focused on using Rake and Angle brushes and all the cool and amazing things you can create with them. We painted ribbons and peacock feathers in our journal and made this one a double page spread. Have so loved doing these each month and look forward to having a nice reference/journal at the end of the year.
We had a new student join us in class Regine, Dee, Pat, Barb, Sue, Deborah, Fran, Sherry, and Cyndee.

I painted my grungy apron finally - had drawn out a design before HOOT and wanted to get it painted but ran out of time. So, I spent earlier last week painting in the design with DecoArt SoSoft paints and outlined a lot of things with white to make them pop!
Love the way it turned out!
The I painted my Fall Landscape and decided to use up the paint on my palette and paint another Fall piece. I'm ready for some cooler weather - love the crispness in the air during Fall! Love the changes of colors too!
In Vegas, I took Bill Bayer's class that was a painting of Constable's from like the 1800's. I wasn't too fond of the boy drinking from the water so decided to do and adaptation of the painting.

I painted this cute little gal from a dream I had after seeing a purse in my closet from years ago. In my dream I used a Christmas Ornament for the bubble so of course I had to get up and try and see how it would look.
I painted this one for my friend Nicole's granddaughter and gave it to her today! She loved it!!
After painting it a bunch of other gals started being created in this crazy head of mine so I started the "Bubble Gum Gals" collection. This is the first. I haven't decided if they will have names or if I will let them be named but the person that owns them. I've already started getting orders which is FUN!
This is the only one I'm not quite sure if I'm going to leave her the same. Her bubble is a bit too big for her face. Decisions!! Decisions!!
So glad that I'm feeling much better - not 100% yet but much better!!
Have a great week.
Sandy
